Marius Rouge [Organic] 2023

Cinsault (50%), Syrah (25%), Grenache (25%) · 2023 · 13.5% abv

From the estate’s top plots, Marius shines garnet red with aromas of morello cherry, blackcurrant, and a hint of menthol, while the palate is round, smooth, and full of bright, juicy fruit. Melted tannins and a crunchy, generous finish make it a versatile wine that’s utterly enjoyable from start to finish.
Production

Fermented in stainless steel and concrete to preserve fruit character. Gentle maceration brought colour and tannin without heaviness. Maturation was short and oak minimal, keeping the wine approachable.

Vinyard

Clay-limestone soils with rounded pebbles dominate these top parcels. Altitude around 350 m allows slower ripening, preserving freshness. Organic vineyard practices, with strict pruning and yield control, focus on quality over quantity. The Mediterranean climate brings intense sun balanced by cool nights.

Pairing

Perfect match for duck breast with figs, hearty beef, or smoky barbecues. It also complements grilled red meats, vegetable blanquette with curry, and lighter dishes like spaghetti with tomato, asparagus, and garlic confit—perfect for both robust and nuanced flavours.
